Podcast

Last Audience: a performance podcast is a 3-part space opera grounded in the Caribbean diaspora, specifically Boriken (Puerto Rico). It takes participants on a journey, a futuristic sonic environment that imagines the transmission of gesture as collective action. A project of a canary torsi, created by Yanira Castro with Erica Ricketts, it is a fiction, a dance and political proposition in one podcast.

Tips for optimal Listening:

  1. It is a fiction. You may want to start with episode 01 before jumping into episode 02 and 03. The episodes build on one another.
  2. It is a performance. Put on headphones and attend. We suggest turning off notifications on your listening device.
  3. It is participatory! You are invited to act. Be open to how the podcast moves you and act on it.

**We are working on crip time with April Biggs to create sensorially rich transcripts for deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people for Ep 02 and Ep 03. We will share them here on the website as soon as they are complete.

Episode 03: Out There

Episode 02: Dear Citizen

In this episode, participants return to a familiar sonic space, but why we are here and who we are with is undergoing a crisis of faith. Nothing is as it seems, and we may never come back.

Episode 01: You Are Here

“A bottle into the cosmic ocean” said Carl Sagan about the Voyager’s Golden Record. We feel the same about this debut episode. In it, we welcome the public into a sonic, poetic world and introduce a host of characters.
